This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Following instructions from the higher-level Party committee, our grassroots Party branch—the branch of Hangmin Nonwoven Fabric Company—organized all its members to study Party history. The purpose of this study is “to understand the Party’s situation, appreciate the Party’s kindness, follow the Party’s lead, and open up new horizons.” Specifically, in response to current needs and trends, the branch aims to help Party members cultivate the “three political capabilities” and learn from the “three ‘ox’ spirits,” thereby staying firmly on course and consciously harnessing the initiative and creativity of Party members, making their due contributions to the company’s high-quality development and presenting a splendid tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Party’s founding!
Studying the history of the Party takes us back to a night in July 1921, when the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was secretly held in the French Concession of Shanghai. The birth of a completely new-type proletarian political party guided by Marxism-Leninism was like raising a blazing torch, bringing light and hope to the Chinese people, who had long suffered from war and profound calamities in modern times. To gain a deeper understanding of this historic period, in May, the company’s Party branch, together with branch organizations from companies such as Xiaocheng Thermal Power and Meishida, traveled to Jinggangshan to trace the red footprints firsthand. During our study, one time frame was frequently mentioned: “two years and four months.” In these brief 800-odd days, the first armed revolutionary force led by the Communist Party of China was formed; the first red revolutionary government was established; and the first red revolutionary base area was set up—paving the way for the Chinese revolution to successfully adopt the strategy of “surrounding the cities from the countryside and seizing state power through armed struggle.” Our forefathers pressed forward one after another, fighting bravely and continuing the revolution with their blood. Like a spark that ignited the whole of China, their spirit was awe-inspiring and their aspirations were deeply motivating. All Party members were profoundly educated and inspired, truly realizing that “without the Communist Party, there would be no New China.” After a century of struggle, we have achieved remarkable accomplishments. Looking ahead, today’s generation is called upon even more urgently to make greater efforts. The company urges all Party members to work even harder and more practically in their current positions, taking the lead in becoming individuals who are useful and dedicated to society, to the enterprise, and to their families!
